Esports In-Play Betting – Wager While the Match is Live

One of Sports 088 users' most-loved features is the ability to place bets while an esports match is in progress. In the fast-paced world of esports where momentum can shift in an instant, in-play betting gives you a level of flexibility and value that pre-match betting simply can't match.

Picture an MPL MLBB match where your favourite team is struggling in the first map – that's your chance to find better odds value before they mount a dramatic comeback. Situations like this are far from rare in esports, and Sports 088 makes sure you never miss that opportunity.

Odds updated every few seconds during the match
Over 30 markets available in a single major match
Live match stats – kill count, objectives, towers
Early cash out available on selected matches

Esports Guide

The Complete Guide to Esports Betting at Sports 088

Esports in Malaysia is no longer a niche interest. From school halls to the grand championship stage at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur, the esports spirit has taken firm root among Malaysian youth and the younger generation. Malaysian teams in Mobile Legends, DOTA 2, and Free Fire have proven they can compete with the best in the region. And now with Sports 088, your passion for esports can go beyond just watching.

Sports 088 offers an esports betting experience built not for the casual casino player, but for those who truly understand and follow the esports scene. Our platform brings together everything you need to make smarter betting decisions – from team statistics and head-to-head records to match schedules and the latest performance analysis.

Mobile Legends – The Pride of Malaysian Esports

No discussion of Malaysian esports is complete without mentioning Mobile Legends Bang Bang. MLBB is the most popular game in Malaysia in terms of viewership, player base and active esports ecosystem. MPL Malaysia – the professional Mobile Legends league – has produced talented players who now compete at the M-Series and MSC level, regional tournaments watched by millions.

At Sports 088, we provide full MPL Malaysia coverage throughout the season, including all weekly matches, semi-finals, and the grand final. Fans can bet before a match kicks off or use the in-play betting feature during live action to capitalise on the momentum shifts that happen so often in MLBB. Teams like BTR MY Alpha, Team HAQ, Onic Esports, and Blacklist International are names every Malaysian esports fan knows by heart.

Get to Know the Esports Bet Types at Sports 088

For those new to esports betting, Sports 088 offers a variety of markets to suit your level of knowledge and confidence. The most straightforward is the Match Winner bet – simply pick which team wins the overall series. Simple and ideal for beginners.

For more experienced bettors, Sports 088 also offers Map Handicap betting where the stronger team is given a negative map handicap. For example, if BTR is given -1.5 maps, they must win 2-0 in a Bo3 series for your bet to win. This creates more attractive odds for matches that appear one-sided in terms of team strength.

Markets like First Blood, Over/Under Kills and Specific Map Winner offer more granular options for bettors who truly understand the dynamics of the game. At Sports 088, we believe the more you know about esports, the better your chances of making smart, informed betting decisions.
